The beauty of joint-free brickwork

The appearance of a brick facade is largely determined by the colour of the facing brick. However, the colour of the joint also plays an important part. There is a world of difference between the same facing brick with light or dark joints. This is why matching joints is often used to maintain the homogeneous character of the facade where uniformly coloured bricks are used.

If, however, it is intended to keep the hues of the bricks “pure”, the joints no longer has any part to play in the effect. This is easily achieved with joint-free brickwork. Hereby the normal joint width of 10 to 15 mm is reduced to 4 to 6 mm – depending on the method used – and the narrow joints are left open.
With joint-free brickwork, you can achieve a taut, unsullied facade that gets the most out of the roughness and natural charm of brick.
